We are offering this exciting and entertaining program especially as a team-building event. Before the start of the competition all the games are demonstrated by an instructor dressed in herds-man’s clothes. The games are as follows:
- Team Head-to-Head Game
The teams line up against each other. The first competitor from each team starts at the sound of a whistle. The rest of the team members loudly and enthusiastically cheer them on as they slalom in and out of bales of straw whilst holding a glass of water in their hands. After finishing the slalom course they have to put the glass on the ground, pick up a whip and knock off a wine bottle placed on a stump. After that they will run to the horseshoe-throwing area where they must throw at least one horseshoe into a bucket, only then can they go on to the next station.
Then they take the sack they have been carrying throughout the course, get into it, and hop back to the start where they tag their team mate who is next in line.
The teams are scored according to their finishing positions.
- Barrel Riding
From two up to four competitors from each team participate. There are four marks on a rod: 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, 4/4. The player sits on the barrel that has the rod passing through it and using a rope has to pull themselves along.
- “Puszta” Darts
The competition involves two horses side by side.
There are four targets in a row placed on straw bales. The competitors have to hit the targets with darts while riding a horse. Those who can hit the inner circle are scored two points, while hitting the outer circle earns them one point.
- Archery
With the help of a qualified archer the competitors “loose” at targets. Scoring depends on hits.
Further events could be the following: log-throwing, aiming at straw bales with a pitch-fork, tug-of-war and ‘needle in the haystack’.
A scorer keeps track of the teams’ points and the results are announced at the end of the game.
Each member of the winning team receives a bottle of wine bottled to commemorate the Carriage-Driving World Championship.
The minimum number of participants is 25 - 30 persons.
After the competition the participants will receive the following menu:
